LOOMA BACKGROUND Simple but audacious, Looma's vision is to build the world's most insightful and actionable storytelling platform. Our first product, Loop™ At-Shelf Maker Stories, is comprised of a network of tablets in grocery stores that play short films about the humans behind our products. The goal is simple: to capture and share stories of people who love what they do, driving emotional affinity for both vendor and venue.

POSITION DESCRIPTION Looma's part-time Filmmaker provides technical and creative support to the Story Success Team, which includes leading content activation for Loop™ and being the in-house guru for rescue missions and priority shoots. The Filmmaker will also have a hand in story strategy, content review, and film variable tracking.

Initially, we're looking for someone who is willing to work on retainer for an average of 20 hours/week at $4,000/month, though we are happy to negotiate this structure as appropriate. Over time, this role has the potential to scale as Looma does. A local presence is preferable; some travel will be required. Must have own gear for shooting. Please include reel, website, and/or work samples with application.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Managing and executing content activation for all Looma campaigns
    • Editing existing brand content for Loop™
    • Producing Looma assets in a variety of multimedia formats (e.g. marketing films, web content, and occasional films for Loop™)
    • Supporting the Story Success team in story strategy and content review for Loop™ films
    • Tracking film variables to inform our ML-driven story intelligence models
    • Training, collaborating, or supporting Looma filmmakers on set
    • Assisting in the hiring and vetting of our storytellers

    ATTRIBUTES

    • Passionate about capturing and sharing human-centric stories
    • Excited by the prospect of uncovering the science behind great storytelling
    • Deep technical expertise in film and audio production
    • An easy-going, selfless ability to adopt and translate feedback into a stronger film
    • Driven and detail-oriented, with the initiative to propose efficiencies or improvements
    • Creative and open, with a miraculous ability to connect with people
    • Joyful and composed on the good days as well as the bad
    • 5+ years of interacting with clients
    • Bonus: Experience with grocery retail
