The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Responsibilities: • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers • Create legal pleadings, communications, and documents such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits with the assistance of a lawyer • Set up a system of filing for our cases that is well-organized and easy to navigate, and other related admin duties • Aid lawyers in preparing for trial by arranging exhibits, witnesses, legal materials, client meetings, and motions • Prepare a factual response to discovery requests by ordering, reviewing, and summarizing medical records • Ability to handle 100 active files • Knowledge of Case Management Systems- Filevine, Smart Advocate a plus • Knowledge of the Pre Litigation Process involved in Personal Injury Cases Qualifications: • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • Prefer two years experience or more in legal service • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred • Skilled with Microsoft Office • Previous customer service or sales experience preferred • Strong computer and data entry skills • Familiarity with case management and CRM systems is a bonus Compensation: $39,500 - $43,500 yearly
