    Six-month+ Contract Opportunity.

    We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Part-Time Network Administrator and Technical Support resource. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the network's infrastructure, providing technical support to faculty, staff, and students, and ensuring the smooth operation of all technology systems within the school environment.

    Hours: Minimum of 20 hours per week, possibly more based on need.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain the school's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
    • Monitor network performance and security, ensuring optimal uptime and data protection.
    • Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
    • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including computers, printers, servers, and classroom technology.
    • Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
    • Assist with the setup and maintenance of Chromebooks and smartboards in classrooms.
    • Collaborate with the IT Director & IT staff to develop and implement technology initiatives to support educational goals.
    • Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in network administration and tech support.

    Qualifications:

    • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
    • Proven experience in network administration and tech support, preferably in an educational setting.
    • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
    • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software, such as Sonicwall, Ubiquiti, and Watchguard.
    • Experience with Windows and Chromebooks, as well as common productivity software and educational applications.
    • Experience with Windows server environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in Python programming and Powershell is a plus.
