    We are seeking an experienced Remote Insurance Specialist to join our client's insurance team.

    The perfect candidate will have experience in the with insurance products such as student health insurance, voluntary products, and disability insurance field. The Insurance Specialist will work closely with other departments (underwriting, actuarial, IT, sales) to develop documents and procedures to monitor and ensure rate and form filings in use are accurate and up to date.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the policy and other insurance form issuance process.
    • Assist in drafting documents which could include group specific product brochures.
    • Assist with policy output reviews associated with product changes.
    • Perform QA Reviews to ensure forms are held to a high standard.
    • Work closely with other departments (underwriting, actuarial, IT, sales) on procedures to monitor and ensure rate and form filings in use are accurate and current.
    • Organize and maintain files, ensure that all necessary documentation is contained within the appropriate file.
    • Manage projects to a timely completion.
    • Attend appropriate meetings as a representative of the team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in business or related field, and 2+ years’ experience in the health/accident insurance regulatory/state filings field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience with insurance products such as student health insurance, voluntary products, and disability insurance.
    • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Able to work in a self-directed manner with complex issues.
    • Multi-tasking and detail orientation skills.
    • Skilled with the Microsoft Suite Office products.
    • Demonstrated listening and problem resolution skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and intense working environment.
    • Paralegal/strong research skills is a plus.
