About the Apple Computer Technician position
Apple Computer Technicians must be able to troubleshoot computers, and quickly determine software or hardware failures, be knowledgeable in installing, disassembling, reassembling, and replacing parts.
You should be well-versed in Macintosh systems and network functions, able to work diligently and accurately, and possess great problem-solving ability to fix issues and maintain functionality.
Computer Technician responsibilities are:
Diagnosing both hardware and software issues using split-testing and fault isolation methods
Hardware repair of Macintosh systems from 2006-present including, but not limited to:
Experienced macOS installation
Installation and configuration of both Consumer and Pro Applications and best of class Anti-Malware software
Knowledge of parts that are cross-compatible from model to model
Migrating a User Directory manually, with the customer's metadata fully intact as a result
Create and manage records of repairs in Repairshopr
Knowledge of macOS from 10.6 "Snow Leopard"- present macOS and the significant differences between the versions and Mactracker
Bonus: Homebrew, Little Snitch, TOR, GrandPerspective, OnyX
Computer Technician requirements are:
2+ years' experience of working as an Apple Computer Technician or other relevant position
Significant experience with computer systems, IT components, and LAN/WAN networks
In-depth knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong organizing and time-management skills
Good communication abilities
Prior experience, reliability, and work ethics are valued above all else.
