    Job Description

    We are looking for an administrative assistant to help manage our growing business!

    The Malt Man LLC is an established mobile canning company and equipment dealer operating in Long Island, New York City and upstate NY. Our primary function is providing canning services for small producers of beer, coffee, wine, kombucha, and more. We are primarily based in Long Island and bring our trucks and equipment to a client’s facility each day, move our machines inside and connect to their product tanks to facilitate canning. Additionally we sell various types of packaging, brewing and quality control equipment and provide consulting services to the craft beverage industry.

    We need someone with strong organizational skills that can work independently to support the business in several ways. Key duties and appointed tasks will include the following:

    • Work directly with the owner of the company to support him in day-to-day operational tasks

    • assist with scheduling, logistics and operations of the canning business

    • Track deal flow from initial sale through delivery and installation of equipment

    • Answer and direct phone calls

    • Improve and optimize internal documents and systems

    • Communicate with clients re canning dates, installations, questions and requests

    • Manage relationships with our suppliers and vendors, ordering supplies, paying bills

    • Track data from our canning teams and recording in our internal system, input data into accounting software and send/track invoices

     

    Required Skills:

    • 1-3 years experience as an administrative or office assistant

    • Strong organizational and management skills

    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

    • Experience with bookkeeping software ie Quickbooks is a huge plus!

     

    Part time 2-3 days per week to start, with potential of full time employment in the near future

    Remote work is an option after some initial training

    Salary $17-$25/hour depending on experience and skill set
