    Do you enjoy working on lakes? Creating maps? We are currently seeking a hydrographer/geoscience professional for the position of a GIS Analyst/Hydrographer in Kansas City, Kansas. This position requires a high-energy leader who has a passion for the outdoors and geographic industry. This person will interact with other industry professionals throughout the United States. Responsibilities: • This position will provide data collection services on lakes, land and rivers throughout the US along with processing data in an office environment. Some projects are local, most will require travel. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and excel in outdoor environments with varying temperatures. OVERALL FUNCTION: • Perform hydrographic, sediment, and UAV surveys on land, lakes and river systems • Generate bathymetry, sediment volume, dredging, topography, and water volume information • Process GIS and Sonar data to produce maps • Partner with the marketing team to lead a demand creation plan, including marketing and promotion, ongoing competitive analysis and market research, as needed • Responsible for the continuous improvement and evolution of our services, including new program development. Monitor and respond to continued quality and trends • Manage project development and customer service Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Surveying or Engineering related field • ArcGIS with 3D analyst and/or CADHypack a plus • Highly Motivated and self driven • UAV Drone flying and technical a plus • Remote Sensing, LiDAR, Imagery a plus • Professional Grade GPS data collection • Basic knowledge of Sonar • Basic knowledge of projections and elevation datums • Able to work outside in various conditions • Ability to lift 50lbs • Attention to detail • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Good project management skills • Creative thinker • Business-minded • Client focused • Ability to multi-task • Flexibility Compensation: $45,000-$65,000
