Responsibilities: • Explain varying loan products, buying or refinance process, and lending guidelines to applicants • Determine each applicant’s or borrower’s specific lending or refinance needs after conducting a thorough interview • Ensure a smooth mortgage process by working with the borrow’s real estate agent, mortgage professionals such as closing agents, and financial institution department underwriters • Research competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms to find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers • Apply for mortgage loan on behalf of homeowners by submitting completed loan application to lender • Research competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms to find ideal mortgage products and lenders for potential borrowers • Obtain documentation to determine creditworthiness, such as background checks, applicant’s credit history, income and employment verification, and verification of assets and liabilities • Apply for a mortgage loan on behalf of homeowners by submitting a completed loan application to the lender • Meet with potential applicants and buyers to determine each client’s specific lending or refinance needs • Explain varying loan products, buying or refinance process, and lending guidelines to applicants Qualifications: • A current NMLS license or National Association of Mortgage Broker licensure or certification is required • Exceptional communications skills, time-management and analysis skills, and independently resourceful • Advanced computer skills including MS office, and loan origination software • 5 years of mortgage loan origination or loan officer experience required • A bachelor’s degree is preferred in economics, business administration, banking, finance, or real estate law • Possess a strong understanding of mortgage products and loan process from origination to close • Exceptional communications skills, time-management and analysis skills, and independently resourceful Compensation: $45,000 - $100,000
