As an AI/ML Group Leader, you will spearhead the development of physics-informed ML capabilities for the Department of Defense, playing a pivotal role in strategic leadership and technical execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand a team focused on developing physics-informed ML capabilities.
- Provide high-level leadership and strategic planning for AI/ML projects.
- Oversee personnel management and development within the group.
- Drive business development initiatives and manage proposal submissions.
- Lead technical execution, providing oversight and guidance on AI/ML projects.
- Demonstrate strong business management and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Eligibility for U.S. security clearance is necessary due to interactions with intelligence community and DoD programs.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, operations research, applied mathematics, or related field with 10-12 years of relevant work experience OR Master's degree with 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ for software development and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience taking projects from problem statement to prototype to production-ready algorithms.
- Experience in AI/ML research, preferably in physics-informed deep learning, computer vision, or optimization.
- Strong team player with exceptional presentation and communication skills.
Preferences:
- Previous leadership experience, including project and/or management roles.
- Experience in marketing new ideas to DoD customers, writing white papers, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn new domains.
- Prior involvement in intelligence and DoD programs.
- Existing DoD security clearance.
