    Our 70-year-old global Aerospace & Defense client has asked The Maven Group to locate a talented Control System Engineer to join a smart and small team near Santa Barbara, CA.

    Our client employs over 11,000 people across the globe and provides solutions to markets such as satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, and security and surveillance.

    This position is a direct-hire, full-time role and includes an excellent benefits package including great medical coverage starting day one, profit sharing, a true retirement plan, tuition reimbursement and more. This role requires the candidate to be onsite at my clients facility and relocation assistance can be provided.

    The chosen candidate will work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off!!!

    The chosen Engineer will provide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systems.  You will provide cradle to grave performance analysis.  This is not a product where mistakes can be made upfront.  We are ideally looking for someone  where Systems engineering is a mindset, could be mechanical or electrical.

    To be considered a viable candidate, you should possess:

    • BS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing
    • 5 to 10 years industry experience
    • Classical and modern control systems design knowledge
    • Signal processing and data analysis knowledge
    • Hands-on experience working with the hardware and software aspects of electro-mechanical systems
    • MATLAB/Simulink knowledge
    • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • High level of motivation and willingness to learn

    • NOTE : This job requires an active US Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one. This clearance requires U.S. citizenship.

    It’d be great if you also had:

    • MS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing
    • Turret fire control systems design, integration, and test experience
    • MATLAB/Simulink expertise
    • Strong mathematical background
    • Active DoD Security Clearance
