Remote BDM (Space Cybersecurity - Government Acquisitions)

Our client is an emerging leader in the space sector, specializing in zero-trust cybersecurity software for commercial and military space ops. Their software combines end-to-end encryption with distributed ledger (Blockchain) technology to enhance satellite and constellation cybersecurity. With recent awards and funding, our client is looking add a technical BDM with a deep understanding and/or network in the space industry.

Business Development Manager (US Government Space Acquisitions)

• Remote - DMV area and Colorado Springs, CO
• US Citizenship - Active security clearance strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Hunt new customers through capture management for govt space opportunities
• Grow existing partnerships for current and future pursuits
• Shape technical efforts with government, and articulate needs for which the customer themselves may not realize yet
• Lead individual captures from shaping through to proposal and closing
• Engage Govt operators, programmers, and acquisitions in targeted, planned approach to enable capture success
• Conduct market research and analysis

What we would like to see:

• Expert-level of understanding of the space industry: knowledge of cyber is preferred but can teach the software aspects, but you need to know space already, minimum of 5 years in this sector.
• Have excellent communication and proposal writing skills
• Demonstrated track record of developing solutions and closing on opportunities in the US Government space minimum of 3 years (1 year if you have prior US Government service)
• Bachelor’s in Science degree required to complete this role successfully
