    Our 70-year-old global Aerospace & Defense client has asked The Maven Group to locate a talented Electrical Design Engineer with past space electronics experience to join its Space and Defense Group. This role is located near Los Angeles, CA.

    This position is a direct-hire, full-time role.     The chosen Electrical Design Engineer will explore all areas of a product’s life cycle from development through production and launch with a focus on electronic design, and manufacturing. They will analyze and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, define new processes, design circuits/fixtures/tools, and identify opportunities for improvement in both products and processes.

    To be considered a viable candidate, you should possess:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • 3+ years of Electrical Design Engineering work experience in the aerospace, defense, or space industry.
    • Knowledge of EMI/EMC (DO-160, MIL-461) is helpful
    • Knowledge of (experience with) PCB design and layout
    • This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.

    It’d be great if you also had:

    • Experience with the design and analysis of analog and digital circuits
    • Experience with linear simulation tools such as Pspice and others
    • Experience with schematic and layout tools (Allegro/Cadence)
    • Hands-on lab experience testing and troubleshooting circuits
    • Knowledge of power supply designs, topology and analysis is helpful
    • Knowledge of PWM control driver circuits
    • Knowledge of C language and embedded device programing
    • Experience with Siemens NX 10 and Teamcenter 11
    • Experience in the Aerospace industry
