Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Women’s Health
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a field scientific/medical expert that supports the Company’s Medical Affairs by facilitating non-promotional scientific exchange and responding to unsolicited requests from the medical community through the provision of disease state and product information. The MSL is to develop and maintain “peer to peer” scientific relationships with key thought leaders in healthcare, academia, and managed care organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify national, regional, and local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) recognized in the treatment of Recurrent Vulvovaginal Candidiasis (RVVC)
- Validate current the Company’s current KOL lists
- Develop and execute integrated KOL plans for all accounts/institutions, including focused discussions and data review
- Present scientific data and exchange information with KOLs on scientific issues related to patient care and the management of RVVC
- Develop and maintain a high level of field interactions with KOLs, and/or institutions and accounts for a minimum of 3-4 days per week
- Support Clinical Development activities to discuss research and support research initiatives
- Attend regional and national professional medical meetings to support medical information booth coverage and to collect clinical and business intelligence
- Consistently build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to establish the Company as a credible partner
- Approximately 70% overnight travel with several nights and / or weekend activities
Required Qualifications:
- Terminal degree preferred including (DNP, PharmD, PhD, or MD) or advanced degree in Women’s Health (WHNP or MSc). Relevant residency and /or fellowship experience is highly desirable
- Experience working in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech, or Medical Device/Diagnostic industry preferred, field-based medical highly desirable
- A high level of scientific expertise within Women’s Health with a proven ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex clinical data
- Familiarity with all aspects of clinical trial processes
- Understanding of industry best practices as well as applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Able to manage a frequent travel schedule, with up to 70% overnight travel
