SET-UP: FULLY REMOTE
The Methodical Group is seeking an experienced IBM iSeries ERP Developer to join our team in Spartanburg, SC. As a leading provider of business solutions, we are committed to delivering the best technology and services to our clients.
As an IBM iSeries ERP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our clients' ERP systems on the IBM iSeries platform. This includes working closely with our clients to identify their needs, designing solutions, and implementing them in a timely and efficient manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing custom solutions for clients' ERP systems on the IBM iSeries platform
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to ERP systems on the IBM iSeries platform
- Writing and maintaining technical documentation for ERP systems
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in IBM iSeries technology
- Work with an agile team to deliver high value, high quality software.
- Develop enhancements to our existing software based on evolving business requirements.
- Perform thorough code review and testing of other developers contributions.
- Provide elevated support and maintenance across multiple platforms.
- Assist with architecting new software solutions and implement them with minimal oversight.
- Availability for occasional off-hours support.
- Other duties as assigned by the ERP Manager or Director of Software Development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ERP Development
- Expert with IBM iSeries development and administration
- Strong knowledge of RPG, CL, and SQL programming languages and expert with DB2 for i.
- Deep understanding of ERP modules including A/R, A/P, G/L, Purchasing, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, CRM, Reporting.
- Extensive experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, coding, code review, testing, deployment, maintenance).
- Experience working with EDI document generation, processing, and transmission.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
