Job Description

The Beam Coordinator is responsible for processing Beam Services orders and ensuring deadlines are met. Offering clients the best solution for their order and ensuring excellent client & supplier relationships are maintained.

MILL DELIVERABLES

• Process client requests for file encoding and tape duplication from Mill/Beam.tv clients
• Process approval requests from artists, producers and production coordinators when required
• Work closely with MCR and Dispatch to ensure deliverables are completed quickly and accurately
• Co-ordinate with offices in London, NY & Chicago to archive and distribute media assets
• Research and create custom online and DVD reels as requested
• Ensure accurate bidding & seek approval on costs where necessary
• Provide advice and guidance on technical issues to clients
• Liaise with other Beam offices and third party suppliers to provide support for international distribution / archiving
• Assist with trafficking (rotations, local clearance, formats and aspect ratios)
• Investigate technical issues on Phoenix / Beam with Mill MPD, Beam tech support and communicate status to production
• Ensure alternative solutions are available to ship content if issues with Phoenix / Beam arise
• Maintain excellent relationships with clients, Mill producers and suppliers Beam Direct
• Support Beam Client Account Manager on Beam Direct
• Foundational knowledge of new Beam platform functionality & Beam Direct services
• Provide support for internal and external users of www.beam.tv
• Set up new users and create business units in www.beam.tv as required
• Support Beam Direct project creation, uploads and sharing
• Chase POs for Beam Direct work and ensure all supplier invoices are costed and billed correctly against actual orders

BEAM DIRECT

• Support Beam Client Account Manager on Beam Direct
• Foundational knowledge of new Beam platform functionality & Beam Direct services
• Provide support for internal and external users of www.beam.tv
• Set up new users and create business units in www.beam.tv as required
• Support Beam Direct project creation, uploads and sharing
• Chase POs for Beam Direct work and ensure all supplier invoices are costed and billed correctly against actual orders

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Broadcast knowledge preferred with IT literacy (iTunes, MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Social Media)
• Attention to detail essential
• Able to work flexible hours as volume dictates, including the requirement to be on call one weekend a month as required
• Resourceful and a demonstrated ability to use initiative and work collaboratively to find resolutions
• Ability to work in a pressurized environment
• Technical knowledge and experience of domestic and international video file formats essential
