    Job Description

    The Mill is looking for a Presentation Designer to join its Immersive Experience Studio. As Presentation Designer, you’ll lead the graphic design in creating world-class presentations that sizzle and help win new clients for The Mill. You’ll have a passion for creating eye-catching visuals that highlight immersive design experiences, games, and more. As Presentation Designer, The Mill’s Experience Studio will look to you to advocate for the best practices in graphic design including visual hierarchy, color theory, infographics, typography, photography, motion graphics, and anything else to sell an idea with style. 

    In this role, you’ll be a hands-on graphic artist confident in your knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Apple Keynote. Key to your role as Presentation Designer will be understanding the desired look and feel for each presentation and using that as a springboard for your creativity. 

    You’ll be a team-player and a people-person, always cool under pressure, as you turn-around beautifully designed decks often with short notice. Ideally, you’ll have the desire to learn more and grow your career in the mixed reality, immersive experience space. This is an exciting industry, and this role will give you a front row seat to all the latest ideas!

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for the graphic design and layout of presentations for both internal and external teams 
    • Design presentations in Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Apple Keynote 
    • Design graphics, charts, mailers, web pages, and leave-behinds as needed to support presentations 
    • Create simple animations like animated GIFs, APNG files, and video clips to embed in presentations 
    • Determine the best look and feel for each presentation based on an existing style guide, verbal art direction, or your understanding of the subject matter 
    • Confidence in working with a multidisciplinary team of artists, writers, producers, and executives 
    • Keep a cool head and positive attitude when changes or conflict arise at the last minute 
    • Be a critical thinker and problem solver in all aspects of your role

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in a studio environment preferably as a graphic designer or similar artistic role 
    • Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Apple Keynote 
    • Ability to create simple animations to enhance presentations 
    • Understanding of immersive, VR, AR, and tech-based experiences or a desire to learn 
    • Ability to make simple graphics illustrating complex ideas 
    • Understand and complete assignments with minimal oversight 
    • Copywriting and motion graphics knowledge is preferred, but not required
