    Job Description

    We are looking for a passionate and curious Producer to join the Mill Experience team in New York. This role will oversee real-time virtual productions and experiences. This job is at the forefront of new technology. The ideal candidate has a background in live-action production and VFX post-production. You will manage project schedules, budgets, risks and task management to ensure successful delivery of complex productions that span on-set production, software development, content creation, hardware integrations, and narrative stories. You have superb communication skills, value teamwork and are highly organized with a creative eye and an innate understanding of our clients’ requirements and the production industry. You understand technical and creative project management with the skills to manage the development and launch of challenging and groundbreaking projects within budget and schedule.

     

    RESPONSIBLITES:

    • Manage projects from conception, through the shoot to post-production, including overseeing high level engineering sprint planning, facilitating content reviews, and managing stage operations during shoots

    • Attend client meetings at the pitch stage to scope projects and determine production needs, procedures and schedules

    • In collaboration with a Creative Director and or Executive Producer, contribute to creative pitches by adding sound production suggestions from your unique knowledge set across Live Action, Virtual Production and Real-time practices

    • Involved in the planning and quoting for all elements of the job i.e. character development, CG Props, CG Environments, live remote viewing

    • Ability to confidently and effectively act as a liaison between Client and Creatives.

    • Possess an acute sense for visual aesthetics and ideas and the ability to manage people and resources effectively

    • Manage resource needs/allocation of cross-functional teams (engineers, artists, designers, operators, hardware techs), and manage the creation of new processes and tools

    • Have your finger on the pulse of emerging technologies and assess their relevance to The Mill’s services and interests and understand what best in class solutions exist. A production understanding of 3D software: Maya, Unity, Unreal Engine is required

    • Prepare Shooting Schedules and manage the day of capture/shoot

    • Maintain Content Calendars and schedules data base

    • Efficient response time to client queries and requests

    • Increase communication and productivity within the Production department & outside vendors

    • Be willing to travel nationally and internationally for location and studio shoots

     

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • 5+ Years of Live action production experience or technical/ creative project management

    • 3+ Years working in Post-Production involving CG and VFX pipelines

    • Working Knowledge of processing CAPS (or equivalent) timecards, PO’s, & Petty Cash

    • Have filled out Insurance Certificates for Productions

    • Enjoy being on set and thrive under pressure

    • Attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile

    • Ability to multitask and change direction depending on the current needs of the situation • Well organized and able to prioritize tasks

    • Resourceful and lateral thinking

    • Outstanding communication skills, able to communicate at all levels/across all departments

     

    PREFERRED: 

    • Experience with LED wall virtual production shoots

    • Experience producing projects using real time game engines. Eg: Unreal Engine and Unity

    • Experience with motion capture shoots

    • Produced tech forward VFX shoot
