The Facilities and Property Maintenance position is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all facilities and properties within our non-profit organization. This role plays a crucial part in creating a safe and comfortable environment for our staff, volunteers, and clients.
Classification: Full-time
Reports To: Property Manager
Travel Requirements: 25%
Working Schedule:
Day shifts
Monday through Friday
Evening shifts
Holidays
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and train a team of maintenance staff
Assign tasks and ensure work is completed in a timely manner
Provide guidance and support to staff members
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, and HVAC systems
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any safety hazards or maintenance issues
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major repairs and renovations
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment inventory
Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
Required Skills/ Abilities:
Knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques
Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education and Experience:
High School/ GED
3-5 years
Credentials for a area of expertise
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 40+ pounds
Ability to stand, walk and lift for extended periods of time
Bending, stooping and reaching
Ability to work in various weather conditions
