The Moran Group is looking for an idea-driven, analytically savvy, Junior Digital Marketing Analyst. As a member of our Digital team, you will assistance in the aggregation of data, development of dashboards and data analysis for both our internal marketing teams and our clients. This position will report to the Digital Marketing Analyst, with additional support from the Digital Media and Performance Marketing teams.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for analyzing data and website user behavior to optimize marketing channel effectiveness
- Assisting with reporting reporting and analytics strategy, compiling data from a variety of marketing tools including: digital publishers, web personalization, heat-mapping, and many others (both paid and organic media) into reporting and visualization tool, NinjaCat
- This person will assist in developing dashboards and take a leading role in maintaining of data accuracy and aggregation within dashboards (via NinjaCat and DataStudio) on website and media campaign performance, share insights on channel effectiveness, and provide recommendations (in conjunction with Digital Media and Performance Marketing teams) to support strategic decision-making for our clients
- Collaborate with members of the digital, product development, and account management teams to provide actionable insights on the performance of digital channels
- Assist with ad hoc reports to present trends and measure progress against established KPIs, goals, and lead-generation activities
- Participate in analytics and measurement discussions when on-boarding new clients and/or planning new digital campaigns; establishing website KPIs, configuring Google Analytics & GTM to measure results
- Monitoring and reporting on website traffic trends
- Working with Account team to provide “digestible” insights and takeaways for various clients
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience
- BA/BS - preferably in a quantitative field such as economics, statistics, mathematics, marketing (THIS IS A VERY ANALYTICAL ROLE)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment (digital media, performance marketing, creative, adops, account management)
- Demonstrates an ability to think outside the box and take initiative upon themselves in order to solve problems as they arise
- Basic knowledge of HTML and/or Javascript
- Ability to take direction and willingness to learn within data heavy and technical environment
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Excel (pivot tables, charts, v-lookups, and dashboard creation) – not required, but a plus
