Job Description

To maintain the supply and demand of inventory and ensure adequate stocks available by accurately managing complete and detailed inventory balances.

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Implement and execute ingredient ordering and management processes that guarantee availability of required ingredients when needed, facilitating use of lot traceability, production yield calculation, and expiration dates.
• Add new ingredients to our database, or update pricing for existing ingredients, as needed.
• Develop schedules for ingredient ordering to ensure availability when required by production.
• Order and receive ingredients.
•  Manage and audit physical ingredient inventories at multiple locations.
• Cross-check physical consumption against production records and identify discrepancies.
•  Investigate causes of inventory variances and proposed countermeasures to improve accuracy.
• Manage packaging inventories and ordering to guarantee availability of required packaging materials - excluding pallets and slip sheets and cans
• Coordinate inventory movement between suppliers, warehouses, and production to ensure product availability.
• Assist with development of cycle count program to assure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENT

• Stand for long periods at a time.
• Able to work 40-60 hours per week, as needed to support production and project requirements.
• Exposure to loud noise.
• Exposure to heat and cold conditions.
