    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

    The IT Help Desk Technician position will oversee support and training aspects of the company websites and will assist the IT Manager in the administration, support and maintenance of all related systems, applications and training. The IT Help Desk Technician will provide first level support for users, ensure accuracy of information and provide installation and training services as needed. The IT Help Desk Technician will also assist with installation, modifying and repair of computer hardware/software along with peripheral components within our dealerships.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure that the company application is being effectively deployed and utilized by our dealerships.
    • Provide telephone, in-person and online support to dealerships and record technical support for incoming issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
    • Work with management and dealership staff to ensure maximum availability of all systems and software.
    • Install, modify and repair computer hardware/software along with peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards and printers within our dealerships.
    • Create / update Knowledge Base on dealership support systems.
    • Setup and remove user accounts and assign appropriate access controls.
    • Manage company distribution lists.
    • Run and compile marketing mail list reports.
    • With assistance of the IT Manager, create, implement, and manager disaster recovery & business continuity planning.
    • Audit company systems and access controls.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

    • None

    QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Associates degree in related field, or combination of education and experience.
    • One (1) to Three (3) years of help desk experience.
    • A+, Network+ Certifications preferred.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to resolve problems with management and dealership staff.
    • Must be able to multitask and input data with accuracy and efficiency in a high paced environment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Frequently works on a computer in a typical office environment.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
    • Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
    • Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.

    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    TRAVEL

    • Local and out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.
