    Job Description

    The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for managing supplier performance and driving improvement. The position is responsible to work with The Nature’s Bounty Co. cross functional teams as well as suppliers ensuring specs and other requirements are communicated. Ensure suppliers stay in regulatory and other compliance resulting zero recall.

    Responsibilities include, but not limited:

    • Manage brand Items’ outsourcing project. (Items in house to outsource and transfers)
    • Execute Quality and Compliance Agreement
    • Manage Liquid & Creams as well as Probiotics current outsourcing projects. (Items in house to outsource)
    • Participate new PD initiatives, working with R D, Tech Services, Nutritional & Label and supply chain. Conduct supplier site risk assessment and audits, QMS, HACCP and cGMP risk assessment
    • Develop and implement suppliers’ batch records review process that includes all contract suppliers’ different capabilities batch records review and then monitor at regular interval. Ensure applicable FDA 21 CFR Part 110 and 111 compliance. Maintain zero recall from suppliers
    • Communicate and ensure The Nature’s Bounty Co. supplier quality management program is implemented by suppliers. Ensure shipment meet with spec, shipping requirements and regulation, zero recall
    • Review GSQ initial samples meeting with spec, label, BOM, COA verified
    • Manage timely lot release interacting with The Nature’s Bounty Co. cross functions, DCs, follow up with suppliers
    • Lead supplier NCR process that help drive improvement. Review & manage deviation, OOS and investigation
    • Perform supplier performance, quality rating, NCR data analysis, generate action items applying quality tools and techniques, work with suppliers to implement effective and sustainable CAPA.
    • Ensure applicable customer requirements are met by supplier sites with adequate registration and 3rd party audits
    • Review consumer comments internal reports and ensure applicable steps taken to address supplier related issues to continually improve
    • Guide and manage supplier compliance with new FSMA, applicable FSVP rules. Keep track of current FDA industry findings and trends. Pro-actively improve The Nature’s Bounty Co. supplier quality management program by developing procedures and instructions, staying ahead of regulations and customer expectations

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Candidate should have minimum seven years’ experience managing suppliers engaged in food, dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals products processing. Good experience track and reference.
    • Experience managing low acid food processing and aseptic filling a plus.

    Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:

    • Candidate shall have minimum Bachelor degree in food science or chemistry or microbiology or pharmacy. Master degree preferable
    • Candidate should be fully familiar with FDA 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP for Dietary Supplement regulations.
    • Candidate shall be familiar and be able to implement ISO 19011 audit principles, procedures and techniques
    • Preferably candidate should have HACCP certification, Lead Auditor certification

    Skills:

    • Candidate is required to have good communication and people’s skills.
    • Be able to work in team dynamics to achieve team goals in fast pace environment
    • Be able to deliver results in tight timeline, stress and crisis management
    • Candidate should have computer skills working with ERP systems, MS Office including Project, Visio and Access
    • Candidate shall be able to implement quality tools and techniques to analyze data & trends, helping supplier high ratings and improve continually to be efficient
    • Quick learner, organized and self-starter taking full ownership of assigned tasks
