JOB SUMMARY
Neato Trading is seeking a seasoned and capable Buyer who has experience in Amazon and/or overall e-commerce CPG buying and reselling. The ideal candidate will possess detailed knowledge of Amazon's selling practices with the ability to establish relationships with brands and promote optimal returns on Amazon sales. Join our remarkable buying team; under the guidance of the Category Director, the Buyer will work to create the appropriate merchandise mix based on emerging trends and execute the assortment strategies established by management. The Buyer is also responsible for identifying new suppliers, managing their product assortment and delivering on financial targets. We are looking for an individual who has experience with aggressive growth companies that can keep up with the pace of the ever changing landscape of e-commerce.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Optimize inventory on hand with a specific focus on high demand, high velocity items.
Maximize product availability and a continual supply of target items.
Establish relationships with current and new suppliers.
Actively pursue and document cost savings opportunities.
Create and execute a merchandise assortment based on selling/trends that will deliver against financial plans.
Participate in weekly meetings with the leadership team to ensure the department achieves financial targets for turn, sell-through goals and inventory management.
Drive growth by developing assortment strategies with SKU count, breadth vs depth, newness and pricing/margin.
Data, Data, Data… analyze and leverage high powered software to make key decisions on product assortment.
Utilize learnings to inform in-season and future season actions, strategies and assortments.
Grow and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.
Strategically scout new vendors to support business needs.
Negotiate product quality, costs and delivery with vendors.
Review weekly sales performance to identify potential reorders and recommend products for disco.
