    Who We Are…

    The Ned NoMad is a members’ club and hotel that will open in the heart of New York in summer 2022. It will be the first international ‘Ned’ site to open following the launch of The Ned London in 2017.

    The Property…

    Located in The Johnston Building and formerly the NoMad Hotel in Manhattan, the property was built in 1903 as a store and office building. The original architectural features will be honoured, with interiors designed by the Soho House Design team.

    The Ned NoMad will offer a mix of members-only and public spaces, including 167 bedrooms and suites. Ned’s Club will give members access to a rooftop bar and terrace restaurant as well as a first floor bar, grill and lounge with live entertainment from The Atrium Stage, seven nights a week. New to the property will be Cecconi’s, a modern day classic Italian restaurant.

    The Role…

    We are looking for an experienced, driven, and enthusiastic Relationship (Sales) Manager to join The Ned NoMad’s sales team. Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships and business from the defined market segments, with a focus on the Group & local Business Transient market segments. This includes strategic prospecting, conducting customer sales calls, presentations, preparing and executing action plans, and negotiating rates/contracts. Our ideal candidate has prior knowledge of the NYC market.

    Main Duties…

    Actively solicit new and existing business to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communications.

    Follow up on all business inquiries and leads to generate room nights and associated revenue.

    Understand and utilize the sales tools the company provides and follow and support all sales and marketing operating systems. Ability to sell all hotel products and services.

    Complete a pre-determined number of new key prospecting calls per week, while maintaining and improving our customer database.

    Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and direct sales goals.

    Perform guest site inspections to uncover needs and present solutions that will maximize booking opportunities and create strong customer relationships.

    Create VIP or Group resumes identifying and communicating traveler’s needs and act as liaison to ensure all operational aspects of their stay are met.

    Develop and maintain rapport with the hotel community and key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the industry.

    Review daily arrivals to isolate potential new clients.

    Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.

    Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Relationship Director or management of the Hotel.

    Essential Skills

    Prior sales experience in a New York City full-service luxury or lifestyle hotel.

    Thorough knowledge of sales process including excellent selling, negotiating skills and presentation skills with strong market and account knowledge.

    Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal.

    Must be organized and willing to take the initiative to achieve the goals of both the department and the hotel.

    Must be able to multi-task and possess the ability to recognize that the guests’ interests and needs are always primary.

    Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends as needed. Long hours sometimes required (i.e., weekends, business travel, client entertainment, group arrivals, etc.)

    Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by colleagues and guests.

    Must be effective and creative in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.

    Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook

    Previous experience with Opera PMS and Salesforce preferred

    Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
