    Who We Are…

    The Ned NoMad is a members’ club and hotel that opened in the heart of New York City the summer 2022. We are the first international ‘Ned’ site to open following the launch of The Ned London in 2017.

    The Property…

    Located in The Johnston Building and formerly the NoMad Hotel in Manhattan, the property was built in 1903 as a store and office building. The original architectural features will be honoured, with interiors designed by the Soho House Design team.

    The Ned NoMad will offer a mix of members-only and public spaces, including 167 bedrooms and suites. Ned’s Club will give members access to a rooftop bar and terrace restaurant as well as a first floor bar, grill and lounge with live entertainment from The Atrium Stage, seven nights a week. New to the property will be Cecconi’s, a modern day classic Italian restaurant.

    The Role…

    We are looking for a Head of Membership & Communications (HMC) to support and report directly into the Director of Membership & Communications.

    The Head of Membership & Communications will be responsible for driving the day-to-day member recruitment and retention for The Ned NoMad, overseeing all aspects of the member experiences, including events, member operations and all member communications including communication through our digital apps. They will directly oversee the membership managers and member admin, leading them to deliver the best possible experience for members in the Houses, as well as across our digital platforms.

    Main Duties…

    To manage membership managers and create a high- quality experience for all the members within the Club

    To be responsible for driving membership acquisition, retention and the member and guest experience, including hosting member events

    To work with the membership team to create a cohesive creative environment under the centralized vision of the Director of Membership & Communications

    To build and maintain committee for The Ned NoMad

    To lead or oversee all new member introductions to the Club to ensure members understand benefits, rules and opportunities. Ensure you meet all new members where possible, explaining your role and allowing them to contact you if they choose

    To partner with the Director Membership & Communications and Club General Manager to meet annual membership targets

    To engage in the local creative scene, attending events, parties, launches etc. to develop contacts, network and build awareness about the Club, its facilities, your role and how new contacts might join

    For major Club events, both on and offsite, play a central role in putting together the guest list(s), ensuring members and VIPs get access, as applicable. When appropriate, facilitate access to the Club of visiting high profile celebrities and personalities (as well as a limited number of guests), ensuring they receive good service and enjoy their time as our guests

    Requirements

    Preferably 6+ years of experience as a respected leader and leading a team

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively

    Proven success of “champion of the culture,” facilitating excellent communication and engagement

    Team focused with an understanding of the bigger picture and how you can contribute

    Able to effectively manage different stakeholders and be persuasive
