    We are looking for a couple who is willing to relocate to our facilities in New Mexico. Please only apply if you are willing to relocate and are married! Have no more than two children currently living with them. The chosen couple is expected to model healthy behaviors, morals, and values, and be willing to work with youth from troubled backgrounds. Applicants should also have a lifelong commitment to learning new skills and, if hired, will be required to participate in ongoing residential group care education provided by The Ranches. If hired, the couple will need to be willing to engage in continual growth and learning about dealing with kids.  We offer salary, room and board, medical coverage, life insurance, and four weeks of vacation per year as compensation for this rewarding work. Starting salary is $21,500 (per person) and goes up to $24,000 (per person) DOE. We offer relocation assistance. Housing consists of two or three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. While accommodations may vary, we strive to provide quality housing for all employees working directly with kids. A maximum of two pets are allowed and we do require a pet deposit. Signing bonus upon start. Responsibilities: • Maintain a cottage atmosphere of organization and planning in managing daily activities • Provide an example of and teach residents basic skills such as room organization, cleaning, work-ethic, punctuality, recreational activities, manners, cooking, laundry and clothing care, time management, communication skills, relationship building, conflict resolution, financial management, etc. • Prepare breakfast each morning as well as three meals per day on weekends and days when the residents are not in school • Assist with educational skills as needed • Maintain a schedule for routine medications as needed • Assist residents with minor illnesses or injuries • Attend church activities with the residents and answer questions as they arise • Transport residents to activities or appointments as assigned • Maintain supervision of residents in the cottage, on campus, on activities away from the Ranch or in any situation involving the residents when House Parents are on duty • Supervise cottage projects and vo-tech projects • Communicate concerns to Team Coordinators, Counselors and Administration as needed • Maintain electronic reports daily when on duty • Maintain minor repairs and upkeep in the cottage and staff quarters and on assigned vehicles and equipment • Develop and maintain relationships with the family members of residents • Utilize the level system and other defined methods to reinforce positive discipline and behavioral expectations • Use common-sense teaching techniques to encourage residents in behavioral and relationship improvements. • Utilize communication skills designed to both hear and speak in ways that provide effective interactions with peers, staff, family members, visitors, etc. • Participate in formal resident assessments, and provide accurate and helpful information to the staff and family members about the resident's activities and interactions with others • Provide hospitality to campus visitors as assigned • Provide care and protection for assigned equipment • GED or High school Diploma • Valid Driver's license with a good driving record • Able to pass a background check • Self motivation • Integrity • Reporting and writing skills Qualifications: • Care for and protect assigned equipment • GED or High school Diploma • Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record • Able to be cleared on a background check • Self-motivated • Models and lives through Integrity • Observational, communication and writing skills Compensation: $21,500 - $24,000 each year per person
