    Job Title: Marketing Intern

    Reports To: Marketing Manager

    Compensation: starts at $13/hr

    Schedule: This is a part-time, temporary, hourly position, approximately 8-12 hours per week. The role starts in late August/early September 2021, and ends in December 2021

    The Next Street is a rapidly growing Driver’s Education company, focusing on fanatical customer service and making the road to your license stress-free and accessible. As an intern at The Next Street, you will collaborate with and assist the marketing team, comprised of our partnership coordinator, social media administrator, & marketing generalist.

    Overview:

    In this role, you will develop your skill set and knowledge base. We look forward to fostering your professional growth and helping you learn more about all things Marketing! Some of the things you can look forward to learning more about are: our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Youtube, TikTok, Spotify, Yelp, Google, and twitch). We will also give you some insight into creating an optimized content strategy for specific channels. You’ll be a part of the team and we will treat you that way…you won’t simply be our gopher doing menial tasks no one else wants to do.

    Here are the must-haves for us:

    Requirements:

    · Current college student, sophomore or above

    · In good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher)

    · Must be available with reliable transportation to come on-site to The Next Street Headquarters in Middlebury at least once a week for at least 4 hours

    · Marketing major preferred but not required

    · Must be creative, motivated, fast-paced, flexible, and organized

    Here are some of your responsibilities you can look forward to:

    · Monitoring and Updating social media reports for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok

    · Engagement with following

    · Assisting in video creation – filming, ideas, etc.

    · Report weekly trends

    · Moderating webinars

    · Editing raw files from content filmed for TikTok into long form content for YouTube

    · Website copy changes

    · Creating email signatures/linked in blocks/business cards

    · Pinning content to Pinterest

    · Making Webinar Clips for Social Media posts

    · Attending Events (Set up a booth and hand out flyers)

    · Make New OBS Scenes

    · Finding new influencers

    Here are some other things you might work on:

    · Surveying customers and researching consumer trends.

    · Developing tools and methods for collecting data such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaires

    · Collecting, Measuring and analyzing data to identify consumer trends

    · Researching marketing strategies and proposing adjustments to current strategies accordingly

    · Creating graphic representations of data and translating complex research into easily readable content for stakeholders and other departments

    · Other tasks as needed

    The right candidate will:

    · Be social media savvy

    · Have a deep appreciation and curiosity for pop culture, trends and viral content

    · Understand social media and basic Marketing skills and have an eagerness to learn more

    · Be a goal-oriented self-starter – the ability to take initiative on ideas, projects and learning is key to success in this role

    Bonus Points:

    · Adobe Creative Suite and/or Photo editing experience · Hubspot experience· Social media focused technologies and apps · Photography, video, social media management, audio/visual experience a plus
