    What We’re Looking For

    We’re looking for a skilled Verification Support Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building relationships with leads and participants in our Product Verification Program. Specifically, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to leads who are interested in having their products verified as well as participants who are currently part of the Product Verification Program. This includes helping leads learn and understand how the verification process works and supporting brands who are currently enrolled in the Product Verification Program and contributing to the ongoing improvement of processes within the program. The Verification Support Associate will report directly to the Business Development Manager and will work with the Business Development Team and the Client Experience Team to further develop our rapidly growing verification program.

    • Able to communicate complex, technical concepts in a clear and simple manner
    • Able to effectively develop relationships with leads and clients while being able to understand and discuss fairly technical aspects of the Non-GMO Project verification process and Standard
    • Strong time and task management skills; ability to manage multiple lead and client situations, needs and inquiries simultaneously
    • Able to work independently and also effectively collaborate within a team setting
    • Available for the potential of occasional travel to industry events

    Areas of Responsibility

    • Cultivate strong relationships with leads and clients through administrative and technical support (phone and email)
    • Provide education to leads and clients about the verification process, third-party service providers, the Non-GMO Project Standard, and the organization’s mission
    • Facilitate the delivery of legal agreements and manage the storage of agreements
    • Work with the Business Development Team to support lead generation strategies
    • Work with the Client Experience Team to support strategic account management
    • Complete additional projects relative to lead and client satisfaction and programmatic improvement as needs arise (examples include: market research, participant surveys and interviews, and newsletters)
    • Proactively build technical knowledge of the natural food industry, genetic engineering, and agriculture
    • Participate in team meetings and share best practices by creating standard operating procedures that improve the quality of work and efficiency of the team

    Experience You Bring

    • Associate or undergraduate degree OR equivalent work experience
    • 1-3 years of experience providing excellent customer service and support
    • Proficiency working in a CRM, database systems, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
    • Salesforce experience helpful, but not required
    • A demonstrated interest in food systems, the natural products industry, and the GMO issue

    Current Benefit Package

    • Health, vision, and dental insurance includes a wide range of medical insurance options to choose from. The Project contributes a flat rate ($420) towards employee premiums which covers the base-level HSA medical plan in full. Employees have the option to opt into more robust plans at a slightly higher premium.
