    Job Title: Cold Station Line Cook

    Job Summary:

    As a Cold Station Line Cook at The Northport Hotel, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, specializing in preparing cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and other items that do not require cooking. Your attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Food Preparation:

    Prepare and assemble cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and other items according to established recipes and presentation standards.

    Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly portioned, and meet quality standards.

    Station Management:

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold station, including refrigerators and workspaces.

    Stock and rotate ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

    Collaboration:

    Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of cold dishes in conjunction with hot dishes during service.

    Quality Control:

    Uphold high standards of food quality and presentation.

    Conduct regular taste tests to ensure consistency and flavor profiles.

    Menu Knowledge:

    Familiarize yourself with the menu and any special requests or dietary restrictions related to cold dishes.

    Stay informed about seasonal ingredients and incorporate them into menu offerings.

    Clean-up:

    Assist with general kitchen clean-up and dishwashing duties as needed.

    Properly store leftover ingredients and maintain a clean and organized work area.

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience as a Cold Station Line Cook or in a similar role is preferred.

    Knowledge of cold food preparation techniques and presentation.

    Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality.

    Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

    Lift and carry trays of food, containers, and kitchen equipment.
