Job Description

The successful candidate is creative, loves design and has an enthusiasm to learn.  This role requires the ability to problem-solve, research and recommend alternative solutions and have the ability to work independently and with a project team.  In addition, this role requires innovative thinking, balanced with the ability to present real-world technical solutions to new and different design challenges. This person will prepare shop drawings for panel applications approval and fabrication, to be used in programming of laser cut files.

Qualifications

• Prepare shop drawings for panel applications approval and fabrication, to be used in programming of laser cut files
• Provide any revisions as required in a timely manner
• Interpret detailed shop drawings for panels included in our scope of work based on architectural drawings, specification sheets and other data
• Support Sales by generating application renderings to help clarify design intent and designing and drafting technical details to typical attachment methods
• Assist Sales by providing value engineering ideas, evaluating design constraints and solving problems
• Collaborate with Sales and Design manager in research, design and development of new ideas, products and the refinement of existing product applications

Education / Experience:

• 2-5 years Architecture/ Product Design/ Construction/ Engineering related experience
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, architecture drawing sets and details
• Demonstrate assembly modeling and ability to create detailed drawings for fabrication
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop (Rendering skills a plus)
• Advanced AutoCAD or Solid Works skills (3D Modeling a plus)
• Advanced presentation and graphic communication skills; recent design portfolio a plus
