You’ll greet people when they come in, schedule appointments, take patient histories, collect test samples, and assist with examinations, all while building an excellent rapport with our patients. Responsibilities: • Put together insurance forms, noting patient symptoms, diagnoses, test results, treatment instructions, and prescriptions in the patient records • Take the patient’s vital signs including their pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it in their chart • Talk with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with healthcare staff • Draw blood and prepare blood samples for laboratory tests • Prepare exam rooms for patients ensuring the room is well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature for the patient and sterilize equipment • Perform EKGs (training will be provided if no prior experience) • Compile completed medical clearance packet with provider summary letter, clinic visit note and all testing results and email/fax to referring surgeon and hospital/ASC Qualifications: • Strong communication skills and customer service skills • Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks • High school graduate or has GED • Has Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency • Over 1 year of work experience as a medical assistant performing admin duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
