PDC is currently seeking a full-time Medical Billing Associate to join our team. This position will work out of the practice’s administrative office located in Rockville, Maryland. This position is primarily responsible for confirming patient eligibility of benefits prior to their initial session. Keeping a detailed eye on the accuracy of insurance claims that are processed.

This position is also responsible for the following:

Ensuring the accuracy of the information in Fusion

Confirming patient eligibility for benefits prior to their initial session

Overseeing pre and re-authorization processes as needed prior to receiving services

Ensuring timely and accurate processing of insurance claims

Ensuring accurate payment processing from a third party and private payors

Working directly with insurance companies to appeal and resolve unpaid/denied claims

Locate and notify patients of delinquent accounts and secure prompt payments

Serve as a knowledgeable resource for billing questions from clients and therapists

Maintain thorough records of interactions with insurance providers and clients

Perform additional responsibilities as needed

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

An HS diploma is required

A minimum of 1 year of medical billing/collections experience

Excellent problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
