    We are dedicated to providing holistic support to IDF Lone Soldiers, guiding them through every step of their journey — from the thinking through the drafting process, through active duty, to transitioning into veteran life. "One Unit for Life" encapsulates our commitment to lifelong support and community building for these brave individuals.

    Role Overview:

    As the Associate Director, you will spearhead the development and execution of our strategic growth, focusing on structuring and enhancing programs across the distinct phases of our member's journey. Your innovative leadership and program management skills will help expand our reach and deepen our impact, ensuring that every Lone Soldier feels supported, connected, and empowered.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Program Development:
      • Oversee the creation of a comprehensive resource and educational library tailored to the various stages of the Lone Soldier journey.
      • Spearhead the development of sustainable structures for cultivating lifelong relationships with soldiers and their families.
      • Implement an effective intake and triage process for immediate and efficient resource connection.
    2. Community Building:
      • Develop and maintain a network of essential connections, including social workers, pre-draft programs, and partner organizations.
      • Foster a nurturing environment for soldiers during active duty, providing personalized support and crisis management.
      • Establish robust chapters for the organization across the US, focusing on career transition, mental health support, and a vibrant veteran network.
    3. Fundraising & Strategic Growth:
      • Innovate and manage fundraising strategies to ensure the sustainability and growth of our programs.
      • Cultivate a diverse donor base, and oversee grant management and fundraising events aligned with our mission.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong track record of bringing structure to dynamic and multifaceted environments.
    • Experience in developing donor base and fundraising sources.
    • Experience in program development, with an emphasis on creating measurable impacts.
    • Demonstrated ability to empathize and triage needs of clients, customers, or patients.
    • Skilled in Zoom, WhatsApp, Google Workspace, and digital marketing strategies to effectively reach and engage our community.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Deep sensitivity and awareness to the varying spiritual and religious needs of the Lone Soldier community.
    • Passion and understanding of the unique needs and challenges of IDF Lone Soldiers.
    • Experience managing at least 2 direct reports
    • Ability to speak and understand Hebrew is a plus.

    Location and Commitment:

    This full-time position is based in NY with flexible scheduling arrangements. The role requires availability for occasional local travel, evening, and weekend events to meet the community's needs.

    The ideal candidate lives within easy commuting distance to Rockland County, NY.
