    Position Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join theirdynamic team at their Occupational Medicine Office. As a medical assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our patients and supporting our healthcare professionals.     Responsibilities:

    1. Clinical Support:

      • Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and minor procedures.
      • Accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
      • Collect blood samples for lab tests and ensure proper labeling and handling.
      • Prepare patients for occupational health assessments and screenings.
    2. Administrative Duties:

      • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering occupational health needs.
      • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
      • Handle phone inquiries, address patient concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.
      • Manage billing and payments related to occupational health services.
    3. Occupational Health Services:

      • Collaborate with employers and employees to facilitate pre-employment screenings, drug testing, and vaccinations.
      • Administer immunizations and maintain vaccination records.
      • Assist with workers’ compensation cases and return-to-work evaluations.
      • Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
    4. Inventory Management:

      • Monitor and restock medical supplies, ensuring availability for daily operations.
      • Maintain inventory of vaccines, medications, and other necessary items.
    5. Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
      • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is advantageous.
      • Proficiency in medical terminology, data entry, and electronic health records.
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with patients.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
