Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Electrician – Service Technician to join our electrical team. This role is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical service tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting systems, fire alarms, intercoms, services, and other commercial applications.
Install commercial electrical components, including safety and distribution systems such as switches, breakers, and panels.
Inspect and maintain systems to prevent breakdowns; replace old wiring and clean circuits as needed.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace faulty units.
Use work order systems to track hours, materials, and detailed service notes.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company-assigned vehicles in excellent working condition.
Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with team members, customers, and vendors.
Travel locally to job sites as required; vehicle and gas card provided.
Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED; vocational training or completion of a certified electrician apprenticeship preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical code and OSHA regulations.
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools (e.g., strippers, voltmeters, drills, conduit benders).
Valid driver’s license and insurable by company standards.
Physically capable of performing job duties.

Pay and Schedule
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Schedule: 8-hour shifts; overtime and weekend work as needed
