    Job Description

    The Point Group is hiring a versatile Account Supervisor to join its public relations team. We’re seeking a media savvy communicator who is a strong writer and thrives on delivering innovative ideas that move the needle for our clients’ businesses. The ideal candidate will have B2B experience in the technology sector but can also support clients across other industries including financial services, commercial real estate and healthcare.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 8-12 years of agency or corporate public relations experience, preferably working with B2B brands in the technology sector
    • Proven experience building and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Demonstrated acumen planning, executing, and measuring campaigns, launches and day-to-day communications initiatives
    • Strong understanding of traditional media, digital and social media strategies, how to integrate campaign strategies and tactics across earned, owned, and paid media and apply analytics to measure results and provide insights
    • Media junkie who thirsts for knowledge, reads industry news, and monitors the latest trends
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills
    • Detail-oriented, self-starter who is proficient in AP Style
    • 4-year degree in journalism, PR/communications, business, liberal arts, marketing, English, or related subject area

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Serving as the primary client contact on the day-to-day development and implementation of public relations initiatives across multiple B2B businesses and potentially other industries
    • Building and sustaining strong and long-lasting relationships with client-side managers and maintaining frequent contact with any other third-party agencies used by each client
    • Executing effective media relations campaigns and consistently securing media coverage for clients across all media platforms (online, print, broadcast)
    • Sourcing and writing high-level thought leadership and marketing content on behalf of clients, including executive bylines, case studies, speeches, media materials, etc.
    • Helping clients manage crisis communications
    • Measuring results and impact, calibrating activities and programs based on success and improvement
    • Creating and encouraging the development of proactive ideas and programs outside "what's always been done"
    • Developing content that can be leveraged across diverse channels
    • Conducting competitive and industry research for clients and/or prospective clients
    • Managing agency projections, billing, and accounts receivable status
    • Overseeing operational performance of multiple accounts simultaneously, ensuring quality work, deadlines, and adherence to budgets
    • Mentoring staff and keeping teammates informed on project developments and issues via regular status meetings, status reports, conference reports and meeting recaps
    • Engaging with clients to provide updates, gather feedback and execute programs
    • Managing a variety of client requests, assuming responsibility and understanding when to delegate to key team members
