Job Description
Our client, a wealth management practice in Atlanta is looking for an investment operations associate.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Portfolio Manager and Head Trader on investment daily activity and operations. The candidate is team oriented but ambitious/competitive with an ownership mentality. They are also a problem solver by nature.
TASKS:
- Develop an expertise in the firm’s investment platform, offerings, trading mechanics and operations.
- Work with lead advisors and investment team in onboarding of new clients and servicing existing clients – new account setup, asset movement, client inquiries.
- Work with head trader on portfolio management – trading, situational analysis, fund family selection, tax loss harvesting strategies, rebalancing.
- Ensure a platinum level experience for new and existing clients- prepare performance and drift reports ahead of lead advisor client reviews, internally discuss investment philosophy and rationale for recommendations, proactively communicate time frames and firm processes with newly onboarded clients, client inquiries are answered in a timely manner.
- Ability to grow into full management of team’s brokerage platform while maintaining support of the advisory operations.
CREDENTIALS
- Must have active Series 7 & 63/66 – additional credentials are encouraged
- Min 3 years investment operations experience
- Experience working with clients on account servicing needs
- Expertise with Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Adobe Acrobat – ability to quickly pick up new trading systems
- Ability to document work processes and streamline tasks for efficiency
- Pursuit of relevant industry designation(s): CFP, CFA, CAIA, CIMA, etc
- Drive and desire to compete a given task ahead of deadline and correctly.
