Description:

We are looking to hire a Project Engineer to assist our Project Managers and Field Construction Managers to complete large commercial construction projects and project budgeting and bidding. Project Engineer is responsible for planning, directing and managing a construction project’s daily operations. This person is an aggressive, take-charge leader who has a strong customer focus, a sense of urgency, skilled at building a cohesive construction team, a concern and respect for safety and the desire to achieve quality in the final product.

Responsibilities typically assigned:

• Assist and monitor project Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely response and the information is forwarded to the project site.

• Collect and review Submittal information to ensure the materials match the project specifications. Forward Submittals to the Client/Architect for approval. Monitor to makes sure approval is received and subcontractors are notified.

• Assist Company Safety Director with weekly project site safety tour/inspection. Document safety issues and note corrections.

• Assist Field Construction Manager as needed supervising subcontractors, reviewing completed work to ensure proper quality and managing Punch List.

• Prepare meeting minutes and plan weekly project meeting.

• Assist in determining the overall project budget by reviewing bids and calling subcontractors.

• Assist project team with setting up bid packages, conceptual pricing, and value engineering.

• Update Excel Spreadsheets with budget data and bid information.

• Call Subcontractors to get estimates.
