    Mason, OH

    Part Time (24/hrs a week)

    Contract (5 months - ends May 31st)

    $35/hr - $105/hr (Based on experience)

    Must haves:

    • Ability to independently make product batches at lab bench scale and PRL machinery at both Cincinnati locations
    • Ability to independently utilize key internal systems (e.g. Nexus, Enovia, Enginuity) for batch making.
    • Ability to independently prepare batches for making, including utilizing internal processes to order materials, schedule time on the equipment, and check inventory.
    • Diligence in note-taking and recording product measurement characteristics during batch making.
    • Experience interacting with project teams and sharing key observations.
    • Experience in Process Development.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Technical Assistants perform procedural work in a lab, (pilot) plant, with consumers, and/or on a computer. Their role is to prepare test/products, perform routine assigned tests and/or generate data in a reliable, quality manner. In addition, they manage relevant administrative tasks. It is critical that they establish and maintain good working relationships with R&D customers, etc. They do not have an overall project responsibility but their work is vital for the development of foundational scientific understanding and the evaluation of new hypotheses. Technical Assistants can contribute to the digital data capturing or have to become savvy on this.

    In their work, Technical Assistants:

    - Learn new test methods and prepare and perform them with excellence, in a dependable/quality manner.

    - Have knowledge of data retrieval/analysis processes; working knowledge of computer application/software packages.

    - Check accuracy of data; detects any irregularities and report these to the supervisor/technical coach.

    - Have working knowledge of own area of business; provide basic support for technologies/test methods in a specific area.

    - Perform routine work in R&D labs, laundries, pilot plant, consumer research operations, etc.

    - Independent in limited aspects of job.

    - Ask questions to resolve uncertainty about the task.

    - Priorities are defined by their supervisor/technical coach; limited control over schedule & method of work.

    - Have written and verbal communication skills necessary to convey information and report the data to their supervisor/technical coach.
