Interiors Designer – Job Description
Overview: The Interior Designer would be responsible for full range of duties including: practical design layouts,
space planning, specifications, installation coordination, development and research for a variety of customer
projects.
Responsibilities:
• Creative, practical design layouts for meet customer’s needs
• Read and understand drawings/blueprints
• Space planning and specification
• Installation coordination/project management
• Manage multiple projects at the same time
• Consultation with client to determine function and needs of the project
• Development and presentation of proposals to the client
• Provide installation crew with necessary, accurate information
Explore and identify new opportunities to add or enhance professional services with existing clients
• Work both independently and within a team structure
• Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities to continue to learn and grow
Qualifications/Experience:
• Interior Design degree – 2 or 4 year
• Proficient with AutoCAD
• Familiarity or experience with CET Design a plus
• Previous experience in the office furniture industry a plus
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles
• Ability to calculate figures, square footage, proportions, percentages, area and discounts
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven organizational, planning and prioritization skills; able to handle multiple responsibilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Self-motivated
• Flexibility/willingness to travel, if needed
