    Our client is a leading provider of specialized, high-value flooring and drain solutions that enhance employee and food safety in industrial facilities. The Company serves leading global-brand companies and has a longstanding reputation for quality, service and reliability.

    The Company has a long track record of consistent significant growth and profitability. We are pursuing aggressive expansion into additional markets and industries throughout eight states in the U.S. Midwest, from its base in Hebron, Kentucky.

    The Position

    Our client is looking for a competitive, persistent and proven winner to be our Business Development Manager for our single largest territory. The ideal candidate will be a pure rainmaker, as comfortable building relationships and selling the company’s premium products in work boots as he or she is in dress shoes.

    This person will drive growth by continually adding and deepening customer relationships in Illinois, a state with the largest revenue potential of any state in our 8-state region. The multi-million-dollar revenue opportunity is ripe for a hard-charging and self-motivated salesperson with an appetite for uncapped earning potential. The position is not for the average; it is for the excellent.

    Responsibilities:

    · Aggressively win new business in Illinois with laser focus on our core, the Food and Beverage industry

    · Represent with absolute integrity and professionalism the Company’s team, products, service and value

    · Develop authentic and enduring relationships, achieving targeted performance in revenue growth and customer service

    · Identify, develop and secure, new opportunities to expand revenue and profit through the addition of new customers

    · Travel throughout Illinois 4-5 days a week on planned sales trips that maximize efficiency and opportunity

    · Manage customer expectations and regularly communicate expert knowledge of industrial flooring and drain solutions in collaboration with Operations Leaders and Team Leaders

    · Deliver complete and accurate plant visit documents (drawings, photos, flooring requirements, and customer expectations) to the Project Analyst for quote preparation

    · Enthusiastically participate in on-site product installations in order to master knowledge of company products and capabilities and to optimize customer relationships (Note: This will require periodic weekend work.)

    · Consistently utilize and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Company’s sales processes, tools and systems

    · Attend trade shows and develop relationships with other sales personnel to increase visibility and market knowledge

     

    The Person

    The Business Development Manager will be driven, competitive, and have an uncanny ability to build instant trust and rapport. This individual will be a people person with a high-energy work ethic. He or she will have an insatiable need to exceed targets and maximize earning potential. He or she will be committed to the highest levels of integrity, professionalism and excellence. Working knowledge of, or experience in, the construction industry is highly relevant and valued.

    Honesty, self-motivation, and a remarkable will to win are essential character traits. Proven performance in sales and business development is required; your prior experience must include having sold at least $1.5 million per year in industrial environments. The Business Development Manager will be eager to travel continually throughout Illinois.

    Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

    The Compensation

    Compensation is commission-based and driven 100% by the Business Development Manager’s sales performance, though a draw against future commissions will be available for the first twelve (12) months of employment. A productive Business Development Manager may fairly expect to earn more than $100,000 in his/her first year and twice that within five years. In addition, the Business Development Manager will be provided with a vehicle, mobile phone, laptop computer and reimbursed for reasonable travel and business development expenses.
