The Pro Fixer is seeking a skilled trim carpenter would ideally have a variety of home improvement skills to support the growth of our business. We're looking for a select few experienced, motivated and organized home improvement professionals that can work directly with customers to successfully complete current projects and open doors to future projects. All candidates should have great customer service skills.

Salary & Benefits

$15 to $35 an hour depending on experience and skill level

Responsibilities

The trim carpenter entails the finishing of carpentry projects to produce detailed wooden structures with fine appearance, shape and texture in residential or commercial setting. You must have experience as a trim carpenter, and you must have a positive attitude.

Constructing, installing, and finishing structures and fixtures of various types of wood and plywood.

Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.

Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.

Repair molding and trim found on windows, doors, baseboards, mantels, and other ornamental pieces.

Complete jobs and make the project look “finished”.

Requirements

Previous experience in the trim carpenter field - knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment and supplies used in the carpenter service

Mechanical aptitude – knowledge and skilled in using various hand and power tools

Knowledge of appropriate materials and parts

Ability to operate a variety of computer programs and systems

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and general public

Team player; strong collaboration skills

Be a self-starter with the ability to organize multiple projects, manage rapidly shifting priorities and produce tangible, measurable results

Must have a valid drivers' license with good driving record and be insurable

Basic business math and legible handwriting

Education

Technical /apprenticeship training a plus.

Physical Demands

Requires frequently: Standing, lifting of 50+ lbs., Carrying 50+ lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of the torso. Also includes working in cramped spaces, on ladders, and with power tools and performing manual labor in an outside environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions.

Experience

Five years preferred in applicable fields listed above.
