VISUAL DESIGNER (UI/UX)

The Qt Company is seeking an experienced visual designer, specializing in User-Interface (UI), User-Experience (UX) and is passionate about creating visually appealing 2D & 3D designs. You are quick to grasp the needs of customers, communicate the value of Qt tools/applications, engage/train design teams, and create visually appealing content which encompasses all features of Qt Design Tools. With a proactive approach, you take the initiative to bring new ideas, and have full ownership from concept to completion. In collaboration with internal developers to plan, define, and create UI concepts for HMI applications.

The Visual Designer role is broad, the candidate should be ready to tackle many different tasks, ranging from creative challenges to implementation on embedded target/device. You excel at developing relationships both internally and externally, and constantly providing feedback to achieve great results.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create visually appealing designs which reflect modern/advanced UI trends
• Utilize skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, XD, Maya, Modo, and Blender
• Push the limits of what 2D/3D graphics (including animations, materials, effects, etc.) can achieve by producing unique and beautiful content
• Enhance, optimize, and aid new/existing customer projects, working closely with Qt R&D, to ensure required output
• Create optimal workflow instructions and tutorials, from an Artist/Designer perspective, which enhance the designer to developer workflow
• Stays up to date with new design trends, and communicates those to new/existing clients
• Create new UI content/material for demonstrations & marketing material
• Conduct training and workshop material from asset creation tools (PS, XD, Sketch, etc.) to QtDS
• Assist Qt Professional services with UI design content for new customers seeking assistance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• 2-3 years of experience in art/UI/HMI for automotive, AR, VR, game, marketing, or other relevant industry
• Skills to create beautiful and polished 2D/3D designs, which include animation and effects
• Experience with UI/UX/Human-Factors
• Experience in participating in enterprise software design/development projects
• Analyze/Understand customer's needs and properly advise to create UI/HMI which meets their full requirements
• Driven to define, manage, and refine processes for optimal workflow from asset creation applications (Photoshop, Sketch, Figma, Maya, etc) to Qt Design Studio
• Experience in optimizing 2D and 3D content for use on embedded devices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
