The RASE Project is currently hiring for a Recovery Specialist position in our Warm Handoff for Overdose Survivors (WHOS) Program in our Lancaster and York offices. For this position, we are looking for an individual in Recovery from Substance Use Disorder for a minimum of 2 years. In this position, you will be working in an office setting and also a rotating on call schedule at times, that will require you to be on call 24/7 one - two weeks of the month to respond to patients at local hospital emergency rooms who have been admitted due to a substance use related issue. During this time, we respond to calls from Emergency Departments at our local hospitals that have patients that are hospitalized with Substance Use related issues. Once we receive the call, we have one hour to respond to the hospital in our Lancaster, York or Adams County. Our WHOS Responders then meet with the patient to discuss their substance use and possible treatment options. Our goal is to link these patients with whichever treatment option fits them best, prior to them being discharged from the hospital whether inpatient, outpatient, MAT services, etc.

While not on call, the other weeks of the month, the WHOS Responders work in our Recovery Center locations at either Lancaster or York, as Recovery Center Monitors (RCM.) The RCMs are responsible for assisting with walk-in treatment placements, answering phones, facilitating groups, monitoring the Recovery Center, etc. Requirements: You must have a valid drivers license, a vehicle, full recovery for 2 or more years and not using Medical Marjiuana.
