JOB TITLE: ACE LITIGATION SUPPORT TECHNOLOGIST FOR THE U.S. ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
LOCATION: EASTERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK (USAO)
DEPARTMENT: U.S. ATTORNEY’S OFFICE (USAO) /AFFIRMATIVE CIVIL ENFORCEMENT (ACE)
ADDITIONAL: Must have a clean credit report and satisfactorily complete a criminal background check prior to starting work.
CONTRACT: U.S. ATTORNEY’S OFFICE (USAO)
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 18 MONTHS CONTRACT (possible extension)
START DATE: TBD
SALARY: GREAT PAY/ NEGOTIABLE
NOTE: Must have minimum of bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field,
preferably with course work in auditing theory and procedures.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must have a clean credit report and satisfactorily complete a criminal background check prior to starting work. The background check will include completion of a favorable Federal Bureau of Investigation name and fingerprint check with renewal every five years. Minimal requirements may be enhanced when/if deemed necessary to the needs of the US Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York.

SCOPE OF WORK:
The purpose of the contract is to provide contract personnel to support the litigative mission of the United
States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York. Contract personnel are required to support
the litigation needs of a large, complex and demanding civil and criminal case load. Support is required
for all aspects of current and pending cases and those on appeal.
· Support Affirmative Civil Enforcement (ACE) attorneys, investigators, and paralegals in case
review, discovery processing, platform set up, data management, data production, data
processing, administration of document review data bases, and presentation of data in complex,
data-intensive ACE matters.
· Provide technical assistance involving Automated Litigation Support. These duties include a
variety of information technology skills to meet USAO information needs utilizing network
hardware and software capabilities.
· Assist in recommending, developing, and creating litigation technology services including
discovery practices, trial preparation and presentation in response to case specific criteria.
Provide document imaging (scanning) and simple coding. Provide customer service support
including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and training in response to user
requirements. Manage analytic databases and coordinate with other DOJ contractors with regard
to research database access and use of databases to develop investigatory leads.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have knowledge of hardware/software solutions for database and graphics in support of
information and document imaging, storage, retrieval and presentation.
Have the ability to analyze, design, implement and update Litigation Support systems to fully utilize state of the art hardware/software.
· Have the ability to solve day-to-day problems arising in the management of Litigation Support systems.
· Contractor must have experience using various USAO's litigation support applications in an automated environment such as LAW Prediscovery, Relativity, Concordance, IPRO (8.6 and Eclipse), CaseMap Suite, Sanction II, Trial Director or similar litigation support applications.
· It is also preferred that the candidate have experience syncing transcripts to corresponding media (audio/ video).
· Only United States citizens may perform work for the USAO, EDNY under this order.
· The Department of Justice bas a residency requirement which states that for three of the five years immediately prior to applying for a security clearance, the individual must have: 1) resided in the United States; 2) worked for the United States overseas in a federal or military capacity; or 3) be a dependent of a Federal or military employee serving overseas.
