ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
Perform a variety of job duties under the supervision of the Clinical Director
Recognize clinical updates and recommendations from the written order
Develop and direct the individualized treatment of clients collaboratively with consumers and families
Provide consultation, assessment, observation, treatment plan development, data collection, and analysis specific to identified target behaviors
Develop and implement an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) with the child and family; identifying and highlighting child, family, educational, social, and recreational strengths as well as areas in which the individual needs improvement
Provision of this service may include preference assessments, reinforcement, extinction, time-out strategies, or other rehabilitative activities as prescribed by a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist and referenced in the client’s ITP
Provide clinical supervision on an ongoing basis to BHTs, BHT-ABAs, and Assistant BC-ABAs assigned to their cases with a minimum of one face-to-face visit every 30 days with all parties present
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
As addressed in the IBHS service description and stated in the BC-ABA Services Training Manual:
Licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis
Licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have one of the following:
Certified as a BCaBA or other undergraduate-level certification
Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA from a college or university
Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services under the supervision of a professional with a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA
Licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist and have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Language skills
Develop, read, and analyze treatment plans
Respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries regarding clients and/or families
Document data and effectively consult with treatment team members both verbally and in writing
Transfer skills to the caregiver
Mathematical skills
Understand and apply general math skills
Reasoning ability skills
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, implement effective intervention from the treatment plan, and draw valid conclusions
Computer skills
Possess the ability and understanding in operating a computer
Knowledge of how to use email communications
Knowledge of how to open Word and Excel attachments
Thorough knowledge of the basic principles of psychology and ABA
Thorough knowledge of mental disabilities, treatments, and social implications
Thorough knowledge of behavior analysis, psychological techniques, theories, and practices employed in the modification of human behavior
Complete a minimum of 16 hours of training annually related to job functions and is in accordance with the training plan
Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the client and the clients family
Meet established deadlines and schedules
Must have Pennsylvania Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances
Travel up to 50% of the time
Possess leadership qualities
Demonstrate the ability to assign directives responsibly in a clear and concise manner
Implement corrective action relating to the various work situations when appropriate
Must continually review the treatment plan with families to ensure progress is occurring
Strong communication skills in both a verbal and written format
Organized and efficient
