    SUMMARY

    A person in this position functions under the working title of Maintenance Repair Person and is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the community homes, office locations, and community participation supports locations as assigned. Assignments will vary in nature and are performed under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Performs exterior and interior repairs to all homes/buildings that the company owns or leases.

    Ensures all homes/building are safe, secure, and in compliance with respective regulations

    Purchase the necessary material to make repairs/complete work.

    Obtain receipts for all expenses which must be submitted daily to the Support Service Director. Each receipt must indicate what was purchased and location.

    Proper clean up after each job.

    Routine Maintenance of items including but not limited to the below:

    o Household Fixtures – window shades, curtain rods, smoke detectors

    o Plumbing – toilets, sinks, pipes

    o Electrical – light fixtures, wall plugs

    o Heating / AC Units / Water Filtration System - filters

    o Seasonal – storm doors, screens

    Completes Bi-Annual Site Inspections.

    Maintain working relationships with outside contractors and internal stakeholders.

    OTHER DUTIES

    Safely utilize company tools and vehicles when performing job tasks

    Participate in incident management training and reporting procedures

    TRAVEL

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    High School diploma

    Organization and attention to detail

    Clear written and verbal communication skills

    Computer skills (MS Office Suite software)

    Ability to exercise independent judgment in establishing priorities

    Independence on projects, ability to complete/follow up tasks without direct supervision.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Knowledge of basic carpentry, electric, plumbing and heating systems.

    Language Skills

    Ability to pose questions and judge responses to determine the appropriateness of an applicant for the required job duties. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and instructions. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to clearly explain instructions in both written and oral media.

    Mathematical Skills

    Basic mathematic ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to read instructional bulletins and/or participate in training sessions then translate information provided into day-to-day work duties.
