    SUMMARY

    A person in this position functions under the working title of TAY Psych Rehab Director. Assignments are varied in nature and are performed under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Behavioral Health Services. The TAY Psych Rehab Director provides direct oversight of the day to day operations of the TAY Psych Rehab program and SILP housing program and provides direct supervision for all TAY Psych Rehab and SILP staff. This position is responsible for completing documentation of daily activities, ensuring accuracy of billing, maintaining State regulations and working with individuals to achieve his/her service plan goals.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Interviews applicants for vacant positions and makes recommendations for hire. Assigns and evaluates work of the TAY Psych Rehab staff, including preparing work schedules.

    Evaluates, coordinates, and plans the delivery of TAY Psych Rehab services

    Reviews referral forms with staff prior to client admission and accepts and processes applicable admissions including acquiring appropriate service authorizations

    Ensures that individuals being admitted to the SILP housing program are screened appropriately and complete all lease agreement paperwork prior to admission

    Reviews client contact forms, including but not limited to, initial assessments, individual services plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Assures all documentation is accurate and completed

    Reviews the daily billing in comparison to client logs and documents to ensure appropriate and accurate submission of billing information

    Oversees the supervision and care that is provided to clients

    Acts as liaison for other services available to the clients

    Develops, schedules, and implements activities for TAY Psych Rehab participants including educational lectures and individual, group and family support therapy.

    Monitors the expenditures of the program supplies to remain within established budget

    Schedules and provides supervisory on-call services to SILP program, including contacting local contractors and vendors to assess and manage property related emergencies

    Ensures the implementation and monitoring of PQI goals

    Implements Recovery and Resiliency based theories of practice into daily operations

    Works collaboratively with referral sources to ensure regular updates regarding program changes and housing availability are communicated

    Completes PQI chart audits as assigned

    Provides client demographic information, insurance information, and billing information to the data entry/billing clerk for entry in to EHR

    Coordinates with the billing department weekly to process billing

    Coordinates SILP housing census with the MH/DS housing coordinator monthly and reviews referrals to determine eligibility for the program

    Ensures maintenance and upkeep of program vehicles and submits gas receipts to Office manager monthly

    Maintain staff training information to assist in CPRP certification process and comply with regulatory standards

    Performs related work as required.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree in either sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education, or a related field and CPRP certification

    A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years work experience in mental health direct service, 2 years of which must be work experience in PRS. CPRP certification shall be attained within 2 years of hire as a PRS director

    An associate of arts degree and CPRP certification if employed as the PRS director of a licensed PRS facility for at least 6 months immediately prior to May 11, 2013

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Experience working with directly with Transition Aged Youth mental health consumers, providing services involving case management, individual or group therapy, crisis intervention, vocational training, residential care or social rehabilitation in a mental health facility or program preferred

    Experience working in a Psych Rehab program preferred

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    CPRP preferred

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to implement plans established for residents and related to individuals in a positive and empathetic manner. Ability to supervise residents and respect resident rights. Ability to read, understand, and abide by all policies and procedures for agency and program.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as simple addition and time keeping.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to define problems, and perform required job duties during emergency situations. Ability to evaluate a crisis situation and determine most appropriate form of intervention i.e. mobile crisis or 911 services.
