Co-founded in 2005 by activists and filmmakers Robert Redford and James Redford, The Redford Center is a nonprofit organization that advances environmental solutions through the power of stories that move. We believe that environmental films are some of the most effective tools we have to shift culture, build empathy, support frontline communities, and move people into action. Position Description
The Program Officer is a member of the Programs Team. The Program Officer supports in the day-to-day operations of development, implementation, coordinating, reporting, and evaluation of the organization's programs. This position also manages logistics of programs and collaborates in the coordination of programmatic events. This position also tracks and holds data and budget information in support of programs. This position collaborates in managing projects that support programs that align with the strategic vision, values, and mission of the organization. This role requires cross-departmental communication and collaboration and the capacity to build stability while fostering creativity.

**What You'll Do **
Support the program team's day-to-day operations of project management, mission delivery, and impact evaluation of The Redford Center's programs.
Produce and contribute to the experience design of events, programs, workshops, summits, screenings, campaigns, and community organizing events for environmental advocacy work and creative storytelling.
Support in the creation of research, resources, case studies, visual media, videos, and other materials.
Support in developing and drafting program materials for collaborators, grantors, and the public; written, visual, or other forms of media.
Consistently report outcomes and communicate updates of Redford Center programs to the team.
Make recommendations for program budgets and track spending to stay within budget and/or alert the Program Director of potential shortfalls or overages.
Build and steward relationships with filmmakers, community partners, film festivals, programmers, and foster the conditions for successful collaborations.
Implement systems that track and evaluate the M&E outcomes, lessons learned, and process refinements of program activities and events.
Collaborate with the team on various cross-departmental projects, support the refinement of organization processes and play a supportive role to the team culture and belonging in helping with other administrative duties as needed. (such as ordering lunch, leading team meetings, covering for teammates if they are sick, etc.)
Work with the team in supporting the implementation of the strategic plan to The Redford Center's programs and ensure programmatic outputs are aligned with strategic plan.
Support implementation and alignment of organizational values and commitments that center justice and equity, including directly addressing racism, injustice, and marginalization and their impacts.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience in writing and research capability.
4+ years relevant experience in the arts, environmental, media, and/or non profit space.
Demonstrated history of project management experience-familiarity with task management, software, etc.
Experience in managing multiple programs simultaneously, including collaborative work with multiple stakeholders.
Critical thinking skills, with experience developing and assessing strategic and impact-oriented projects.
Experience proactively building relationships with individuals and teams, organization-wide, and with external communities.
Professional skills in file, data, and project management, and systems proficiency in tools such as Airtable, Salesforce, Excel, Slack, Asana, or comparable tools.
Strong written and verbal skills in English.

Additional Details
This is a hybrid position. Our team generally works remotely, but we do require that staff come to the office for team meetings and attend some in-person events. Our office is located in the Presidio in San Francisco. Candidates must be based in the Bay Area. The salary range will be $84,000-$88,000 annually, commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience. We offer a flexible schedule and an excellent benefits package, including generous paid time off, 100% coverage of employees' health, dental and vision insurance, and participation in a 403b retirement plan with an employer contribution of 3%, after six months. **
