  • Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    · Conduct standardized assessments for children and adolescents, including autism evaluations. Provider should have knowledge of a range of diagnostic assessments including the ADOS-2

    · Prepare comprehensive written assessment reports that include diagnostic impressions and recommendations

    · Deliver feedback and recommendations to family about appropriate services and resources based on the individual’s needs

    · Collaborate and consult with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Education Specialists

    · Provide therapy to children and young adults, including individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD)

    · Conduct parent-training sessions to assist families with managing challenging behaviors

    · Offer support and guidance to families with ASD

    · Perform outreach services to educate parents, providers, and other community stakeholders about ASD and how to identify signs of symptoms in children with ASD, including the importance of early intervention services

    Minimum Position Requirements:

    · Ph.D. or Psy. D. in clinical psychology.

    · Possession of a license as a psychologist issued by the Alabama Board of Psychology.

    · One year of experience in testing and diagnostic evaluation of individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

    · Ability to handle change well and be flexible and adaptable.

    · Ability to follow oral and written direction.

    · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    · Good verbal and written communication skills.
